A typical "Pack Meeting"

Pack Meetings are great opportunity to review the progress of our boys. We have wonderful "scouters" in supporting the program.
And of course they are always fun to watch having fun.
Our "scouters" are very dedicated adults who are fun to work with. As I had the opportunity to serve with them, they are simply great.
And our boys work hard for their merits. It's remarkable to see what a boy can do. Indeed it can be said that we can look forward to their great future.

Hiking Old Rag Mountain 2012

This last April, our Venturing and Varsity units got together to hike Old Rag Mountain, one of the most popular hikes in the region. I must admit it was one of the most amazing hikes I have done with these group and it was worth every effort.

The mountain is located about 2.5 hours from our home location. We hardly had any cell phone signal (with the exception of the top of the mountain).

Our first "Bridging Ceremony"

Back in October 2011, we had the great opportunity to organize our first "Bridging" ceremony. This was an amazing experience for everyone involved.

The "Bridging" ceremony or "cross-over" is symbolic in many ways. In general, it's a representation that the boy is about to cross over the boundary of "cub scouts" to the "boy scouts". This transition needs to be as smooth as possible and our leaders sure made a great effort to make this happen.

Klondike Derby 2012 (National Pike District)

Last January, our pack participated in the Klondike Derby, sponsored by the BSA National Pike District. Although it typically occurs in the winter time, the setting lends itself really well to let the boys demonstrate their scouting skills. It's a
As usual, our boys had a great time and it's always fun to see them enjoying scouting regardless of the weather.

Introducing Pack 2302

Our Pack (Cubs Scouts) within our Charter has great children. They are very active and are eager to start their scouting activities (specifically, going camping). Every week, you'll always find them doing something fun.

2012 Spring Adventuree at Broad Creek

In March 23 2012, our boys participated in the Spring Adventuree at Broad Creek Memorial Scout reservation. We had the opportunity to interact with other Venturing crews in organizing an official BSA camp for Boy Scout troops from the region.
We were in charge of the "Capture the Flag" station where we helped boy scouts interact as a team. Due to the weather (a lot of rain), our boys tried to make the best of it by playing additional games and simply having fun.

Introducing Charter 2302, Baltimore Area Council

It is with great honor that I would like to introduce the members of Charter 2302 from the Baltimore Area Council. We meet weekly on Tuesdays evenings at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ellicott City, MD.

Our charter consists of a Cub Scout unit, a Boy Scout unit, a Venturing unit and Crew Unit. We have a number of adults involved everyone speaking both English and Spanish. We participate in different community events and are very active in our outdoor programs. It has been a privilege to see these great young men as well as their adults leaders develop great relationships that we know will help the community in the future.
